Aimee Semple who was a protege of Maria Woodworth Etter and a mentor to the well-known Kathryn Kuhlman once went to a meeting where she was advertised to minister and only a handful of people were present and all of them were believers. She was saddened. With flashing eyes full of living fire she grabbed an empty chair and hurried off into the street. This left many bemused and stunned! Out far in the busy street she mounted the chair eyes closed with white flowing gown and face and arms uplifted to heaven. Her mouth was moving probably in soul-felt prayer like Hannah when she asked for Samuel. Well a few minutes passed by and a rather huge curious crowd gathered. She opened her eyes, alighted from the chair grabbed it and took off running with a loud 'all of you follow me!' The crowd seemed entranced or even 'enchanted'! They all ran after her and followed her into the church. Firmly Aimee commanded her workers 'Lock every door and keep them locked till I am done preaching!'

When the doors were opened, every sinner in that building had been saved! Was she criticized? Absolutely but she was a dynamo for God. Her church stands today 6million members strong all over the earth!

When we burn like she did then we are ready to shrink hell!
